Requiem For Humanity
What is the band all about?
Step into the world of Requiem for Humanity. An English symphonic metal project that transforms humanity's oldest legends into powerful and modern epics. With a signature blend of orchestral majesty, crushing guitars, towering choirs, and cinematic sound design, Requiem For Humanity creates immersive concept albums that explore myth, history, and the fragile truths that connect us across centuries.
At its core, this project is storytelling through sound. Each album unfolds like a sweeping narrative, with every track advancing the emotional arc. Drawing from mythology, ancient conflict, and universal struggles of identity, loss, and transcendence, the music is both thunderous and introspective. The music is heavy enough to shake the earth, yet thoughtful enough to resonate long after the final note fades.
Requiem For Humanity is more than a band; it is an evolving mythos. Cinematic, bold, and unafraid to ask big questions, it stands as a defining voice in modern epic metal.

Albums:
Requiem for Humanity
The self-titled Requiem For Humanity is released on 1st March. The band's name and this album was inspired by the artwork of F. W. Alden that appeared in the 1924 booklet "Jocko-Homo: Heavenbound" published by the evangelical Methodist minister, Reverend Bertram Henry Shadduck. The picture depicts a devil-like figure pointing towards a staircase with each step showing a vice that leads humanity to de-evolution. Each song represents a suggested step.

Where The King Sleeps
The album, Where the King Sleeps, uses early poems of Stuart McIntosh. He was then obliged to write more to help complete the story and thus the album. The album was created with the assistance of collaborator Chas Peters and Mark Allen. Mark is co-credited on four of the tracks for his help shaping the songs.

Echoes OF Asgard
Norse mythology provides rich inspiration for music. Echoes of Asgard is the first of a two-album project by Requiem For Humanity, introducing key gods and goddesses. The second album, Yggdrasil’s Echo, will explore Ragnarök, the Norse apocalypse.
Although Norse mythology includes up to seventy deities, Echoes of Asgard focuses on a select group, with thirteen tracks dedicated to individual gods and goddesses. These include Odin, Loki, Thor, Freyr, Tyr, Freya, Frigg, Hel, Njord, Heimdall, Balder, Idunn, Skadi, Sif, and the three Norns, Urd, Verdandi, and Skuld, who represent past, present, and future.
